Pop Culture Tees is 1 Month Old! (well, close enough)

It’s been a little over a month since Pop Culture Tees was launched… which is only a year or so after the domain name was actually registered. Better late than never, right?

Cake!

In that month we’ve learned a lot about running a site like this, and we’ve also seen just how big the community for t-shirt lovers and designers really is. You guys are passionate about great looking tees!

We’ve gotten awesome support for the site on two fronts. First, the web design and WordPress community have given us much love and props for the the site’s design:

Noupe featured us #2 on their list of 60+ Unusual WP Blog Designs. WPZOOM included us in their article about unique RSS feed icon usages. And we’ve made the listings of We Love WP and WordPress Theme Store, among others.

What’s been really exciting though, are the props from others in the t-shirt/custom goods industry.

Back when Pop Culture Tees was just a few weeks old, allmightys.com offered kind words and support for the site. Thanks for still following along, Filip!

We’ve made new friends with folks like Sven from Badge Review (who also designs t-shirts!) and crazy-funny Walter from HatHead (which doesn’t actually sell t-shirts, but we let ’em slide).

Big THANKS to all you guys, and looking forward to meeting even more. Trust me when I say (and I think many site owners would agree with me), cool people are what makes the web worth publishing to.

So what’s next?

In the coming months Pop Culture Tees will focus on continuing to find cool tees for sale and sharing them with you. We’ll also be working on posting t-shirt artist interviews and conversations with the peeps who run t-shirt companies. And churning out the next parts of our series “So You Wanna Design T-Shirts?

We’re also going to start offering advertising on the site. This is a great opportunity to get some awesome exposure to people who LOVE t-shirts. And because you’re getting in on the ground floor, you will never get better prices. Check back soon for info.

And Now…

Back to our regularly scheduled programming.
