Ch-ch-changes

by liz on January 28, 2009

Oh hey, so the site looks a little different. Didja notice? Yes, THIS is why posting has been a little light lately.

Nothing huge, but here’s the rundown:

We’re bringing our best content front and forward. On a busy day, the front page can easily fill up with 4-5 t-shirt posts and any features we’ve recently published are buried. Now our latest long-length content will always show up first. We also made this handy dandy page that links to all of our best stuff.

And if you’re interested in participating in our Interview Series (Behind the Shirts), there’s a new form that you can fill out that will help us out a ton.

We also revamped the sidebar. There’s some stuff missing right now, but it will probably make it’s way back in one form or another. We cleaned everything up over there (including better highlighting our sponsors from Project Wonderful) and added a new Community News feature.

This new area allows anyone to submit news relevant to our audience (tutorials, clothing sales, store launches, stock art resources, etc) and have it show up almost-immediately (we’re manually approving links for right now). This is a great way to get faster press on your sales or stores because it may be several days before a shirt/store submission is posted on the main site.

You can also subscribe to the RSS for this news feed and get all the goodies in your reader of choice.

As always, we’d love to know what you think of the changes; drop us a comment if you love them, hate them, or just want to say hi!

Peace out, yo.

Definitely more user-friendly with 2.7. The new admin backend is just beautiful.

Let me know if you get stuck with anything specific and I will try and help!
