With so many high quality designs floating around that haven’t been printed yet by contest sites like Threadless and Emptees, or snatched up by a clothing line somewhere, this is a fantastic idea. Why hasn’t anyone done this before?
Kingstrike is a brand new (today = their first day) t-shirt design brokerage site which offers exclusive purchase rights on t-shirt designs. The designs aren’t anywhere else, and once you buy a piece of art you can download it immediately and get full rights to print and resell the design. Right now, artists are only able to join on an invite-basis, but anyone can purchase.
Most designs seem to be running around $300-400 (seems REALLY reasonable).
