We’re a little late to mention it, but TeeBurb is a new micro-blogging site with strong similarity to Twitter but targeted strictly towards to the Tee Community.

I can’t see a really strong value in replacing (or even augmenting) my Twitter account with this yet (downsides = losing a wider audience and having to be two places instead of one), and I’m curious to see how many other people agree with that sentiment. However (comma) I do see some real potential value in the site as a press service/news source for the tee-blogging community (much in the way regular press wire services work for world news).
I’m not sure if that’s part of the founder’s intention, but think it could be a real useful service in that context as opposed to trying to compete with twitter.
There’s also still a ton of bugs they need to work out (layout issues and the site DOES NOT play nice with firefox), but we’ll definitely be keeping our eye on ‘em.
Look for new coupons, discounts, & promo codes!

I was under the impression that TeeBurb just showed up tweets by t-shirt companies, so it’s not actually a competing service, more like a tee filter for Twitter.

Thanks for the mention Liz. The site is up simply for enjoyment. Just an alternative place where people in the industry can interact. The direction of the site is completely in the hands of the users. Many announce new products, sales or blog posts which are welcomed. There was never the intention to compete with twitter. I’m plenty busy selling shirts but I put up sites like teefeeds, teetweet and teeburb because I find them personally useful and enjoy the business.
