Keith Walsh (@yearoftees) started following me on Twitter, which is how I found out about his new project, A YEAR OF TEES.
The concept is simple – every day during 2010 Keith will offer a new, 1 color t-shirt design for sale on the site. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen “daily” projects (The Daily Dropcap Project from Jessica Hische is a great example), but it’s definitely the first time an individual t-shirt artist has done something like it.
Right now there’s 5 tees up with the designs ranging from clever to just OK:

But posting a new tee every day is a tough New Year’s Resolution, it’ll be worth watching to see if he can keep it up for 365 days.
“Each t-shirt is an original one colour design printed on either a black or a white American Apparel t-shirt and will be available for both guys and girls. All the t-shirts are printed on ethically made, environmentally friendly 100% cotton tshirts.”
Tees are $19.99 each plus shipping – from Dublin.

What a cool idea! The designer might end up sacrificing quality for quantity here but it's a great way to generate a lot of ideas in one year. Those ideas could definitely end up becoming better designs in the future
